Smart Energy merges with local Arch Solar

A solar contractor and an energy
efficiency consultancy have merged operations.

In a release to the media, Smart
Energy Management and Arch Solar said they would now be one unit. Smart Energy
provide residential and commercial building performance services that help
owners and builders create high performance, energy-efficient buildings through
energy consulting and upgrades, whilst Arch Solar is an award-winning solar contractor
and provider of renewable energy systems.

Smart Energy’s founder, Jorge Vera,
was first introduced to Arch Solar in 2009. Smart Energy demonstrated extensive
knowledge and innovation, he said, that resulted in reduced costs and maximized
energy efficiencies for their clients. Arch Solar then approached Smart Energy
to formalize their alliance in preparation for expansion.

Smart Energy and Arch Solar say
that they view this new partnership as strategic in bringing competitive and
innovative solutions to the Cayman Islands. Both companies share the combined
goals of energy efficiency and sustainability in residential and commercial
spaces. Smart Energy is the only dedicated energy efficiency company in the
Cayman Islands.

A subsidiary of Arch Solar, the
company specializes in comprehensive energy audits, energy efficiency
consulting and automation projects for homes and commercial buildings. Smart
Energy applies building science to quantitatively analyse a building’s
performance as a dynamic system, so as to tailor a solution to the client’s goals,
budget, and priorities.

Arch Solar provides turnkey
renewable energy systems and serves the Caribbean and based in the Cayman
Islands. The company offers an extensive portfolio of proven solar and wind
energy solutions and cutting edge energy saving technologies. Arch Solar has
partnered with the industry leaders to offer the most efficient, aesthetically
pleasing and reliable renewable energy systems available on the market,
including photovoltaic, solar hot water, solar pool heating, solar outdoor lighting
and wind energy systems.

“Before investing in a renewable
energy system, it is advisable to invest in an energy audit.  Simple upgrade measures increase the
efficiency of a building and optimise the performance of a renewable energy
system.  We are pleased to be able to
offer our clients an exclusive package service that reduces energy costs on
multiple fronts,” says Dana Arch, Vice President of Arch Solar.

“It’s a good match”, says Vera.
“Our combined knowledge and experience will create the most effective provider
of energy saving technologies. The increasing price of oil is moving Cayman
residents and property managers to seek out independent, effective solutions to
reduce their utility bills while increasing the value of their properties, and
we are now ideally positioned to help.”
