Celebrity waiters raise money for National Trust

A recent celebrity waiters evening
raised $3,375 for the National Trust for the Cayman Islands.

The event was hosted at Edoardo’s,
which was closed to the public for the evening as four members of Rotary
Sunrise, Joanne Rutty, Anthony Lawson, Tony Catalanotto and Dawn Cummings,
acted as waiters to the 76 attendees. They were assisted by Edoardo’s staff,
who donated their time to serve the three-course dinner. Each person’s $50 cost
for the meal, and the celebrity waiters’ tips were donated to the National
Trust. A raffle also helped to raise some extra money during the evening.

“The support of my fellow Rotarians
has been overwhelming, and I’m truly grateful,” said Frank Balderamos, general
manager of the National Trust.

“In future we’d like to see other
‘celebrity waiters’ join such a fun effort.”
