Students perform at The Pines

The recently opened Cayman Music
School offers programmes for children and adults of all levels in piano,
violin, guitar, voice, music theory, ear training and composition, among
others.

Among the recent events students of
the Cayman Music School have been taking part in was a performance at The
Pines. Students played classical and jazz favourites on piano and guitar for
John Watler, Ramona Christian, Elda McLean, Rebecca Hydes and Mary Robinson.

The school’s students have also
made their mark in the national level competitions, winning 17 gold and six
silver medals in the recently concluded National Children’s Festival of Arts.

At the school’s music extravaganza
held on 20 June at the Grand Pavilion, Gabrielle Scott was awarded a free
one-year scholarship for her outstanding performance in vocal music.

The school is currently conducting
children’s summer music camps which focus on all things musical, including
singing, playing musical instruments, dancing, games, plays, computers, arts
and crafts, puzzles, fun with composers, and field trips.
