Little Black Dress did lots to impress

All dressed up and somewhere to go,
The Little Black Dress Party at The Ritz-Carlton’s Silver Palm Lounge attracted
about 300 revellers who, having dressed to the nines, were all set on a great
time sipping LBD drinks and dancing the night away.

The ladies came dressed in a range
of LBDs, some iconic and some barely there – and all were rewarded with plenty
of attention from local ‘paparazzi,’ who snapped photos on the red carpet.

With the music pumping on the dance
floor, dancers busting their moves and everyone dressed to impress, the evening
was crowned by the LBD competition at 11pm.

With five candidates in each of
three categories, the contest quickly heated up with contestants trying their
hardest to impress the judges and win over the audience with their sartorial

Going by how vocal it was, the
crowd really got behind the contestants creating a buzz about which dresses –
and the ladies in them – would win.

Among the winners was Gretchen
Allen for Most Breakfast At Tiffany’s-Inspired Little Black Dress. She won two
bottles of champagne from event sponsor Tattinger. The Littlest Black Dress
winner was Sarah McTaggart, who walked away with a La Prairie gift package.

“It is apparent that Grand Cayman
revels in having unique and exciting alternatives for a typical Friday
night…,” said Nancy Harrison, the hotel’s marketing supervisor.
