The Tortuga Rum Cake Company has
been recognized by Inc. magazine as one of the Top 5,000 fastest-growing
private companies in the United States. It is the fourth consecutive year the
company has earned the honour.
Doing business as the Tortuga Rum
Cake Company, Miami-based Tortuga Imports Inc. handles worldwide sales and
distribution of Tortuga Rum Cakes and other Caribbean gourmet products.
“Given the economic times, we are

business,” said president and CEO Monique Hamaty-Simmonds. She founded the
company with her husband Marcus, who is the CFO.
