Clarke’s Wonderful game

Jordana Clarke returned to the
Walkers line-up and boy was she a sight for sore eyes. Walkers have lagged
lately but they showed their run as champs is not over with a resounding 40-0
thrashing of Chiro Spa.

Clark threw five touchdown passes in leading the way. Rachelle Petersen
and Cassandra Bodden each had two touchdown catches and Isatou Sey had the
other scoring catch. Bodden also ran back an interception for a score to round
out the Walkers scoring. Sey had four tackles to help out her defence. Walkers
improve to 8 and 2 and play Andro tomorrow.

Ace Paints and Décor improved their
playoff chances as they edged Zulus 22-19 in a hard fought encounter. Ace were
led by Lisa Malice who was 21 of 34 passing with three touchdown passes and an
interception. Christina Hefner, Camille Solomon and Betsy Smith all had
touchdown catches.

Hammerheads, playing with a
depleted roster, still had enough to earn a 30-26 come from behind win over
Lone Star Jager Monsters. Ellen Downey threw four touchdown passes in leading
the way; three of them went to Alex Terry and the other to Kathy Miller. Downey also helped out on
defence with six tackles and Courtisha Ebanks chipped in with six as well.

Hammerheads are still top of the
heap in the Domino’s Ladies Division. Their record is 8 and 2 and they play Ace
Paints next.

For Lone Star Jager Monsters it was
a tough way to lose, they were driving late but Ali Amos was sacked on the last
play of the game as she delivered the winning pass just a second too late. Amos
finished the game 22 of 34 passing with four touchdown passes and an interception.
Christine Bisnauth caught three of the scoring tosses while Keisha Solomon had
the other. Solomon led the way on defence with five tackles. Lone Star are 4
and 6 on the year and play Chiro Spa next in a very important game.

In the final game of the day
Appleby Avengerz climbed into the playoff race by way of a 34-19 win over
Andro. Antoinette Thompson threw four touchdown passes while going 12 of 18
passing on the day. Carrie Bennett caught three of the scoring tosses while Shawanna
Hera had the other. Shinette Rhoden had a career day on defence as she had
eight tackles and two interceptions one of which she ran back for a touchdown.

Appleby are 3 and 7 on the year and
can climb out of last place with a win over Zulus next.

For Andro who are also in the fight
for the last two playoff spots it was a tough loss. The Killa-Watts could not
muster enough offence push to overcome the Avengerz defence. Christina
McTaggart led the way for Andro going 14 of 30 passing with three touchdown
passes and two interceptions. Caron Lumbra caught all three touchdown passes
for Andro. Phillippa Knight led the Andro defence with five tackles. Andro are
3 and 6 on the year and take on Walkers next.
