Musical teen gets a needed grant

Local charity, the New Self-Help
Community Foundation, issued its first Trade Skills Apprenticeship recently.

It awarded a grant to local singer,
songwriter and production engineer, Cameron Bodden, also known as Jiggz Jay.
The grant will help the performer buy equipment to further enhance his

Cameron has performed at the
foundation’s Talent Exposition of the Arts shows and has impressed the judges
each time.

JC Connor, the foundation’s CEO,
said the foundation was encouraged by Cameron’s desire to do well, and that the
organisation aims to help young people realise that they can achieve their full
potential if they persevere and participate in their own development.
