Parker’s sets the pace

Since its introduction at the start
of the year, karting has become a must-try for so many people in Grand Cayman.
The track at the Loop on Sparky Drive is constantly busy with Formula One aspirants.
Good fun for $25 a session.

Owner Alasdair Foster said: “We’re
almost into the last week of a closely fought AI Group Summer Corporate Karting
League. They have been 222 drivers taking part so far and by the end of next week
each team will have driven their kart 100 miles around the track. Team Parker’s
currently sit at the top of the table with Automotive Art and Harneys just
behind them.”

Foster said for anyone who wants to
be involved in the next league registration, it is now open for the autumn
Premier League. Entrants need to get a group of friends or workmates together
and enter a team for a weekly competition involving five 70 lap races and one
time trial.  There will be races on the
regular and reverse tracks as well as the first opportunity to drive the High
Speed Outer Loop.
