Roma aiming to dim Rising Stars

After a tough five-point loss last
week, Roma will look to net a lot of points on Thursday 23 September.

The side takes on Rising Stars
World Gym at 6.30pm at the netball courts at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex
netball courts. The match marks the start of week four of the 2010 Cayman
Islands Netball Association Mixed Netball League.

Roma saw its bid to tie Frank Hall
Home Blazers atop the standings fall short as the Blazers won 23-18. A
defensive struggle at times, Gavin Watts and Molly-Ann Moore made the big plays
late in that game to secure a Blazers victory. However the green and yellow
warriors showed trademark hustle and had the offence clicking, save for a few
errant passes.

The result is Tricia Skyers Palacio
and her Rising Stars side will have their hands full. Gary Palmer and Tara
Ramoon better stay alert on defence and maintain good position to keep the
likes of Marvin Gordon and Kay Copeland in check.

Ultimately Thursday’s
match comes down to which defence executes best. Roma may have the edge on the
paper but if Mellisa Rankine has her shot working Carrie Barnett, Damion Claire
and company will be tested.
