Paints’ glossy finish

Ace Paints and Décor knew a victory
by six or more points would give them third spot in the Domino’s Pizza Ladies Division
and that is exactly what they did as they defeated Andro Killa-Watts 32-6 in a
make up game Last Saturday.

Andro were officially eliminated
with the loss. Lisa Malice led Ace with four touchdown passes as she went 17 of
20 passing with an interception. Betsy Smith had two touchdown catches while
Camille Solomon and Ann-Marie Douglas each had one. Alicia Dixon rushed for a
touchdown to round out the scoring for Ace. Delcia Ebanks and Jennifer Allen
led their defence with six and five tackles respectively. Ace finished up the
regular season 6 and 6 but as a result of point differential took third place
and get Appleby in the first round of the playoffs on Saturday.

For Andro who were without a lot of
their starters it was a gallant effort to climb into the playoffs. Heather
Roffey stepped in at quarterback for Andro and did a great job going ten of 21
passing with one touchdown pass. Tonia Ebanks caught the lone scoring toss and
had four receptions on the day. Gillian Roffey led the defence with five
tackles while Heather helped out with four and a sack. Andro finished up 3 and
9 on the year. Playoffs begin this Saturday with the Ace Paints and Décor
taking on Appleby at 3pm and Lone Star and Chiro Spa hooking up at 4pm.
