Yeah baby! That’s entertainment

The third annual Yeah Baby! Family
Expo at Camana Bay last weekend seemed to have something for everyone in the
family.

The free expo, organised by dms
Broadcasting and wildbanana.ky, featured a wide selection of services and
products available on Island for parents, babies and toddlers and impressed
many of the estimated 3,000 who attended.

“Speaking with many parents at the
expo, they were delighted to see how much there is for families available on
the Island. They appreciated the interactive activities that all the booths
had, and really enjoyed ‘trying, tasting, seeing and doing’ with their young
families,” said Chloe Hill of dms Broadcasting.

Some of the highlights were the
activities from Body Now 4 Mum and Kids, which did interactive sessions
showcasing yoga and core strength training for pre-natal and post-natal mums,
as well as for kids.

What immediately captured the eye,
as well as the attention of every child present, was the X107.1 Activities
Centre that offered activities such as the Gerber Baby Boogie contest, and a
bouncy castle that drew in children the moment they walked in the door. The
children soon found further entertainment at the 106.1 KISS FM Storytelling
Centre.

The HOT 104.1 Sports Skills area
was also a hit, featuring the Cayman Islands Girls’ Football Organisation
players showing off their skill and proving that football is definitely not
just for boys anymore.

Other sporty highlights included
demonstrations by Purple Dragon karate and Motions Unlimited Gymnastics.

“There were plenty of proud parents
in the crowd for that,” said Ms Hill.

For exhausted parents, the 96.5
CAYROCK ‘Food Rocks’ food court provided welcome relief, with vendors including
Dunkin’ Donuts, Papa John’s, TCBY, Quench Cayman and Cayman Cupcakes helping to
replenish energy levels again.

“The ‘design your own’ donuts at
the Dunkin Donuts was a great success, and the cupcakes by PJ were certainly a
sweet treat alongside all our other exhibitors,” said Ms Hill.

She also reserved a special thank
you for Massive, which set up the decor for the expo and also showcased the
kids’ parties they can set up.

Exhibitors included Body Now 4 Mums
& Kids, Camana Bay, Cayman Cupcakes, Cayman Learning Centre, Cayman Sports,
Cayman Story Books, CIGFO, Dunkin’ Donuts, Expectations Plus, Generali
Worldwide Insurance Company Ltd, Gerber, J & M Electronics, Launch Pad
Enrichment Centre, Little Darlings, MASSIVE, Motions Unlimited, National
Gallery, National Trust, Papa John’s, Party Source, Public Library, Purple
Dragon, Quench Cayman, Smyles Play Time Paradise, TCBY and Tiny Tots Academy.
