The Rotary Club of Grand Cayman has
announced its 15th annual Music Extravaganza to benefit various community
service projects at the Brick House in Grand Harbour on Saturday, 27 November,
from 7pm to midnight.
The event is a special night of
community solidarity and entertainment, all to the tunes of local musicians. It
is also meant to provide support for the projects and the people of the Cayman
This year’s artists include local
favourites Red, White and Blues; Sea N Bee; and the Vagabonds.
Admission to the event, which has
been staged every year since 1995, is $25.
Tickets, available from Funky Tangs, and Rotary members, qualify holders
for a grand draw and a first prize of $40,000. Another 10 prizes of $1,000 each,
and a seller’s prize of $4,000, as well as many other prizes will also be
awarded throughout the evening.
Rotary Central Vice President and
event coordinator Ravi Kapoor said, “The proceeds from the music extravaganza
will go to the various community-service projects all over the Islands. Rotary
Central has a long and well-known history of serving the Caymanian community.”
He added that, “This gathering is
among our best and most popular events, and has through the years helped to
raise a great deal of money for important local projects.
