A sequel to a comedy horror zombie
movie filmed in North Side this summer is in the cards.
Robert Carruthers, director of
Zombie Driftwood, said he plans to return to Cayman to shoot a follow-up in
March and April next year.
Carruthers also hopes to screen the
Cayman premiere of Zombie Driftwood in late November or early December.
A UK premier has already been
scheduled in London on 19 and 20 November.
“If you are planning to be in
London, you need to book now. We are in the largest screen, but there are only
250 seats so if you are coming, book now,” the Scottish director said, adding
that there would be a party after the screening.
Zombie Driftwood was filmed mostly
at and around the Driftwood Bar, with many local extras who signed up to be
covered in fake blood and made up as zombies.
The script was written by Phil
Eckstein, who runs the bar.
The film, which is currently in
post-production, stars local actors Rita Estevanovich, Brian Braggs, Peter Kosa
and Katherine Brindley.
