School gets first aid kits

The Insurance Managers Association
of Cayman has donated 15 first-aid kits to Clifton Hunter School.

On Thursday, Monique Jackson IMA
chair presented Principal Steve Geraghty along with Home School Association
President Cindy Scotland and Ivan Green, the school’s disaster management team
coordinator with the kits.

According to the principal, the
kits will be distributed around the school to various staff members who will be
involved in a first aid programme. The group of trained individuals will know
where the kits will be kept so that the burden of assistance will not be left
of the shoulders of the nurse.

“As you know, first aid kits would
be a prime necessity in the event of a disaster. Therefore these are very
important for the safety of our children,” said Mrs. Scotland.

She added that the school also
needs some VHF/UHF band radios, and the school is seeking the public’s
assistance with these items.
