Ritz-Carlton voted best Caribbean resort

Readers of a travel magazine have
voted the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman the Caribbean’s best resort for the third
year in a row.

More than 25,000 readers of Condé
Nast Traveler voted in the annual readers’ choice survey, which ranks the best
destinations, cruise lines, airlines, hotels and resorts in the world.

Vice President and General Manager
Franz Ferschke expressed his delight at winning the gong.

“Our ladies and gentlemen deserve
the credit for creating the island’s only Five Diamond resort.

“Their passion and dedication in
creating service excellence is why guests return year after year. It is because
of their extraordinary service and genuine care that the hotel continues to be
celebrated by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler among the best in the
industry. This award belongs to them all,” he said.

Second placed was Jade Mountain in
St. Lucia and Nisbet Plantation Beach Club in Nevis. Top hotel was Peninsula
House in Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic followed by The Caves in Negril and
Hotel Saint-Barth Isle de France in St. Barts. Readers voted Bermuda their top
