Ricketts is vital for Roma

With October almost over the window
to close the gap on frontrunners the Frank Hall Homes Blazers is closing. One
netball team with a chance to knock the Blazers off their perch is Roma.

The green and yellow warriors are
in action on Thursday 21 October at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex netball
courts. At 6.30pm the side battles the Blazers, the current top side in the
2010 Cayman Islands Netball Association Mixed League.

Roma are well aware of the Blazers’
strengths as Frank Hall Homes beat them earlier in the season. The key in that
early contest was the hustle of Richard Allen and Stacy Reid-Satahoo and the
relentless offence of Molly-Ann Moore and Gavin Watts. To counter that on
Thursday Roma will need to outwork the rookie club.

Critical to that plan will be
centre Clifton Ricketts. A stalwart on the team for years, the energetic centre
is an integral part of the offence and defence. His trademark hustle is never
absent in games but he’ll need to be as active as ever to slow down Nicola Williams’

After Thursday’s match the next
game on the schedule is this Saturday as the Blazers are in action again
against team Multi-Built.
