More than 100 breast cancer
survivors attended a breakfast to honour them as part of last month’s Breast
Cancer Awareness Month.
The women heard from Dr. Robert P.
DerHagopian, medical director of Baptist Health Breast Centre, and Dr. Joseph
Ostroski, oncological surgeon, who shared information about advancements in
treatment.
The event, hosted by Baptist Health
and the Lions Club of Tropical Gardens, was held at the Westin Casuarina hotel
on 30 October.
Guests enjoyed breakfast together
and entered to win a seven-day Breast Cancer Survivors’ cruise aboard the
Carnival Liberty.
