Szucs and Williams are top duo

The 11th annual Cayman Islands Golf
Pairs tournament was competed for by 32 teams of two players on Saturday at the
North Sound Club.

The golf course was in excellent
condition as usual and the weather co-operated to give reasonably good scoring
conditions, despite a moderate breeze.
Karoly Szucs and Marc Williams took advantage of the conditions in the
afternoon to win with a fabulous better ball net score of 55.  Williams only had to stand back and applaud
as his teammate shot a personal best score of 71.

The result was a great
disappointment to the team of Robert Oosterwyk and Paul Sleep who set off at
7:30am and returned a creditable net team score of 57, only to see victory denied
them at the last minute.

However, they took a worthy second
place.  The Low Gross Team was, yet
again, Michael Wight and Philip Wight who shot a 68 gross.
