‘Dudus’ back in court

Accused drug runner Christopher
‘Dudus’ Coke will reappear in a United States court on 29 November.

Coke’s scheduled appearance in
court last Tuesday was adjourned at the request of his Florida based lead
counsel, Stephen P Rosen, who was unavailable. His other attorney, Steve
Zissou, was also unavailable.

Coke, who is facing charges of
illegally dealing in drugs and guns, has been jailed in the US since June when
he was extradited to face trial.

It is expected that Judge Robert P
Patterson Jr could set a trial date for the case when Coke returns for his 29 November
status conference appearance.

Coke is charged with conspiracy to
distribute cocaine and marijuana and conspiracy to illegally traffic in
firearms. He faces life in prison.
