Junior Achievement sells
product made by students

Coconut Creations, a company formed by the Junior Achievement programme, is selling candleholders/fragrance holders made from coconut shells this holiday season.

They candleholders come in a variety of colours and can also be used for potpourri or for holding change or decorative rocks. They sell for $10 each.

Students in years 10 through 12 produced and are selling the product as part of the 18-week programme in which they learned how to create their company’s motto, mission statement, bylaws, charter and conduct other business.

Coconut Creations will be sold by Junior Achievement members throughout the holiday season and beyond in Grand Cayman and on Cayman Brac. Those interested in placing orders may email at [email protected], or call 938.0617.

Junior Achievement also will be conducting its second annual Business Knowledge Bowl Quiz, in which participants are tested on basic business terms, business math, and other topics. The two teams with the highest scores will compete in the finals on 28 February, 2011.
