Fergie can high five

Manchester United have opened a five point gap at the top of the Premier League and on current form it looks as if Fergie is going to coast to yet another title. They beat Blackpool away on Tuesday and should bag another three points against Villa at home in their next league game on Tuesday. There’s a game in the Fourth round FA Cup, at Southampton, in the meantime, on Saturday, another opportunity for Berbatov to add to his season’s tally.

Biggest match of the round is Everton hosting a resurgent Chelsea. Carlo Ancelotti claims Chelsea have turned the corner after a horrendous spell. Not many are convinced and he sounds as if he’s just trying to save face. Aston Villa against Blackburn Rovers is another all-Prem clash and Darren Bent could continue paying back his colossal fee.

Pick of the FA Cup games on Sunday are Arsenal hosting Huddersfield and a Fulham-Tottenham London derby.
