Security officer’s
effort recognised

The Security Centre Ltd recognised security officer Michael Ranosa for his efforts in preventing a fire while on duty.

The firm awards a special recognition to one of its security officers for going beyond the call of duty every quarter. While on patrol in October, Mr. Ranosa noticed during a routine check that a stove had been left turned on in one of the empty units at a condominium complex.

He extinguished the fire that had already started on one of the elements, took a photograph and reported the incident to the front desk management.

“His actions in this situation prove that he is one of our outstanding officers and always detects problems at his location before it escalates,” said Duty Supervisor Courtney Johnson.

“He has proven on many occasions how efficient and effective he is especially when it comes to executing his duties for the client,” he said about Mr. Ranosa, who joined the The Security Centre Limited five years ago from Manila in the Philippines.

The Security Centre equips their security officers with a cell phone, and radio so they are in direct contact with the Duty Supervisor at all times. “We want to make sure that our officers on duty can contact our Duty Supervisors, or 911 should a situation arise,” says Operations Manager Maria McLean. “We are grateful to Michael for taking the appropriate steps in preventing further fire damage to the unit, and were happy to recognize him with this Officer of the Quarter award.”
