Foggy weather in Texas has led to several cruise ship schedule changes.
Cayman will now receive the Carnival Conquest today rather than its original Thursday itinerary.
The vessel had originally been due to leave Galveston on Sunday afternoon but could not leave Texas until 8.30am on Monday.
In addition to Cayman, Conquest’s itinerary includes stops at Cozumel and Progreso, Mexico, which replaces a planned visit to Montego Bay.
Other ships affected include Carnival Ecstasy, which had a two-day delay, and Voyager of the Seas, which was delayed by 24 hours due to the weather conditions.
As a result, Carnival Ecstasy will spend three days at sea without its scheduled port calls in Progreso and Cozumel. Neither vessel was scheduled to visit Grand Cayman.
