FirstCaribbean supports Red Cross

A partnership of 20 years was renewed recently between FirstCaribbean and the Red Cross in The Cayman Islands when the bank made its annual donation to the organisation.

The money is used to assist with a range of Red Cross projects, including community causes, disaster relief and youth programmes.

“FirstCaribbean is grateful for the excellent work that the Red Cross performs in the community and is proud to sponsor their benevolent efforts and activities,” said Tom Crawford, managing director of the Cayman Business Unit and Retail and Wealth Management for FirstCaribbean International Bank.

Kirk Rampersad, Red Cross board director and fundraising chair, thanked FirstCaribbean for their generous support.

“This donation from the bank and all the others that have preceded it, have been more than welcome and more than helpful to the Red Cross. It is something we very much appreciate.

“We do the very best we can, and there is certainly no lack of worthy causes here. This welcome boost to our resource from FirstCaribbean will go a long way towards addressing a number of these needs,” Mr. Rampersad said.
