Experimental drama group Better Read Than Dead will put on a reading of the play, The Bald Soprano by Eugène Ionesco, at the Harquail studio on 5 March. Doors open at 6pm and curtain goes up at 7pm.
Better Read than Dead’s members meet privately on a monthly basis to read plays and occasionally perform staged readings, at which there is an emphasis on spontaneity, accident and, above all, a good time.
Roles for actors are selected randomly and participants will read their lines on stage for the first time.
Seating is limited to 50 in the Harquail studio and the performance is for one night only.
Tickets, priced at $65 and available at Bacchus, include a seated three-course dinner after the performance. All profits will go toward the restoration of Miss Lassie’s House. For information contact [email protected]
