Theme is Women as Agents of Change
The Royal Commonwealth Society invites the public to attend the annual Commonwealth Day Service on Sunday, 13 March. It takes place at St. George’s Anglican Church, off Eastern Avenue, at 4pm.
Governor Duncan Taylor will read The Queen’s 2011 Message to the Commonwealth.
This year’s theme is Women as Agents for Change. Deputy Premier Juliana O’Connor-Connolly will read a lesson, Speaker of the House Mary Lawrence is reading the psalm and the Minister for Gender Affairs Mike Adam is scheduled to attend.
Youth organisations will be present.
Along with all residents, visitors from Commonwealth countries are encouraged to attend.
