Mourant names new partners

International law firm Mourant Ozannes has appointed Morven McMillan and Julian Fletcher as partners. Ms McMillan and Mr. Fletcher will be based in the Cayman Islands office.

Neal Lomax, Mourant Ozannes’ managing partner in the Cayman Islands, said: “I am delighted to welcome Morven and Julian to the partnership.

Their appointments will further strengthen Mourant Ozannes’ trusts and funds capabilities in Cayman. They both have a wealth of experience which will help us meet growing client demand for these areas of the practice.”

Ms McMillan is head of the Trusts Practice Group in the Cayman Islands office. She joined Mourant Ozannes on 1 October, 2010, having previously held the position of partner and head of Trust & Fiduciary Disputes at Charles Russell in London.

Mr. Fletcher is a member of the Funds Practice Group in the Cayman Islands. He specialises in all aspects of corporate work with a particular focus on investment funds.

Prior to joining the firm in 2004, Julian practised for almost five years in New York and Toronto with Shearman & Sterling LLP in the derivatives and capital markets groups.
