A 65-year-old man from Colorado has been arrested and is
currently in police custody in connection with suspected fraud
offences.
Officers from the RCIPS Financial Crime Unit arrested the man
around 4.20 pm Tuesday, following an operation in the
Seven Mile Beach area.
The operation was conducted after officers received a
report that the man had attempted to sell property in the Cayman Islands which
did not belong to him, without the owners authority. The property, which is
located in the Seven Mile Beach area, is valued at almost US $500,000. .
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of uttering false documents and
attempting to obtain property by deception. He remains in police custody while enquiries continue.
