Automotive Art hosted a Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event on Thursday, 9 June, to celebrate 40 years of service by its sister company Coconut Car Rental and to mark the grand opening of a fully outfitted Yamaha division.
Automotive Art will now offer outboard engines, motorcycles and wave runners and, company officials noted, it is now a certified full-line Yamaha dealer.
Owner Wayne Kirkconnell told those on hand that he started the business when he was 25, when he was charmed by customers’ surprise at seeing him whenever they asked to see the owner. He said the journey of bringing Automotive Art to the high standard at which it operates todays has been a rewarding challenge, but one that he was ready for.
“My father was able to become Captain at just 21 years old, and in seeing the strides he and others in our family have made, we have strived to follow in the spirit of endeavour, taking risks and being bold,” said Mr. Kirkconnell.
Automotive Art also celebrated 10 years of business on the occasion.
