Cayman’s athletes at the Island Games in the Isle of Wight can thank swimmer Joel Rombough for contributing to their medal haul.
Rombough got a third bronze on Tuesday, in the 400 metres individual medley to add to the 200m butterfly and 200m individual medley he had already won.
That means the Cayman Islands had won eight medals before Wednesday’s competition began. Sprinter Robert Ibeh got a silver in the 200m, Michael Letterlough also got silver in the hammer throw and swimmer Lara Butler won silver in the women’s 100m butterfly.
Bronze was won in the squash and bronzes also went to Junior Hines (400m hurdles).
