Cayman model struts her stuff in NY show

Cayman Face the Future Model Adrianna Christian recently got a taste of what it would really be like living the life of a full-time model.

The New York trip was part of her winnings for being chosen Cayman Islands Model of the Year 2010-2011, along with a chance to participate in the Caribbean Tourism Organization Fashion Show in New York, which showcases international and regional designers unveiling summer lines.

“Travelling to New York for the first time was truly a life changing experience for me,” Christian said. “I had a great time walking the streets of New York being photographed, and I will never forget Times Square’s beauty, the lights displayed no matter what the time of the day, travelling on the subway and the entertainment by young people.”

Ms Christian’s week in New York City allowed her to meet new friends from across the Caribbean and also in New York.

She also auditioned at the eminent Trump Model Management Agency at Trump Plaza and was interviewed by Corinne Nicolas, president of Trump Models, as well as participated in photo shoots with top flight New York-based Allure magazine and Paz Turner.

Her final event was the Plitzs Passion for Fashion Event where Ms Christian was acknowledged as Cayman’s Model of the Year and reigning Face of Shabeau.

Face the Future Model Cayman committee acknowledged appreciation to Premier McKeeva Bush and the Tourism Department for giving Ms Christian the opportunity to share her talents on an international stage for her continued development on a personal and professional level.

The committee thanks sponsors CAL, La Chic, Reflections, Fidelity Money Centre, Atlantic Department Store, Sparkles Janitorial Service, Home Gas and Atlantic Starr and local judges Vinnette Glidden, Archie Whittaker, Lorna Reid and Carol Iton.
