Scotiabank touting school donation campaign effort

Kids in schools across the Caribbean will score big when they head back to school this year thanks to Scotiabank’s new campaign.

Through the back to school campaign, which kicked off on 1 July and ends on 30 September, 2011, Scotiabank will make donations through its Bright Future programme to support sports teams in local schools. For every Scotiabank customer in Cayman who registers their credit card for this promotion through the bank’s website or mobile application, Scotiabank will donate $1 to a school in the community to support the its sports programme.

“Getting advice and being a part of a team has many benefits for children, including improved wellness and self-esteem,’ said Doug Cochrane, Country Head of Scotiabank and Trust (Cayman) Limited. “Through our Bright Future Programme, Scotiabank is committed to supporting local initiatives that promote healthier lifestyles with the youth of out communities.”

In addition to helping to make a difference, Scotiabank customers can win big with this year’s back to school campaign by registering and using their credit card for purchases during the back-to-school season. Individuals will be entered to win one of two $500 cash prizes.
