Do you have a passion for fashion? Do you dream of striding down the runway dressed in the latest designer couture?
Young men and women are invited to attend a workshop on 15, 16 and 17 August that will shed some light on what it really takes to be a model.
The Making of a Fashion Model workshop is presented by Guavaberry Marketing, which also hosts the Cayman Fashion Solstice.
“The workshop idea came as a direct request from the public based on the success of the 2010 solstice event and the need for formal training of our local models,” says Cindy Rosan Jones, Guavaberry’s managing director.
Participants in the workshop will work with stylists, photographers and runway coaches to learn the correct grooming, runway strut and make-up application.
The workshop will culminate with a casting call in which models for this year’s Fashion Solstice event will be selected. The casting call on 17 August at Royal Palms is open to all.
