Higgs & Johnson, Counsel and Attorneys at Law, has awarded Ridhiima Kapoor the first H&J “Pursuit of Excellence Scholarship”.
Miss Kapoor is in her final year of the LL.B (Hons.) programme at the University of Nottingham in the UK.
Miss Kapoor, who has served as President of the Bar Society, has been accepted by the College of Law (London) to pursue the LPC course. She said, “I have a strong interest in corporate, commercial and maritime law and would like to pursue these areas upon my return to the Cayman Islands.”
The H&J scholarship is among other things, based on academic achievement, community involvement and commitment all-round excellence.
Regional managing partner Derek N. Jones said, “The firm believes, as do I, that a good education is a key component in the pursuit of excellence.
After reviewing all the applicants it was clear that Ridhiima demonstrated outstanding academic ability and achievements.
