There are new leaders of the Heineken Sunday Football League after last weekend’s fixtures left only one side with a perfect 100 per cent record from the opening rounds of games.
Triple Crown Wanderers picked up their third win from as many games after seeing off a determined Prison team. Prison were looking to get their first points on the board but fell to a 3-0 defeat. Silva hit two and Marc Brown got the other. Prison missed a penalty in the last minute.
Top of the table going into their match with Harry’s FC, Boca Juniors were looking to pick up all three points but instead came out second best on the day thanks to a last minute Harry’s winner. Olsen Bush scored from a penalty for Boca early on but Harry’s replied with strikes from Craig Webster and Floyd McKenzie late on.
Old Boys and CML Claymores shared the points in a six-goal thriller at the TE McField Annex. Scorers for CML were George McKenzie, Ben Marler and Steve Henshaw. On target for Old Boys were Rob Crockett twice and Paul Chivers. The last game of the weekend was a comfortable 6-1 victory for Agua FC against a dispirited MC Devils side who fell to their third defeat in a row.
