Bryan Robson, the legendary former Manchester and England midfielder, is this year’s football great coming over for Sunset Football Club’s fundraiser.
With the red half of Manchester still in the doldrums after their 6-1 humiliation by City last week, Robson’s visit comes at an appropriate time for local United fans to have their spirits lifted.
Sunset’s Bryan Robson weekend starts at Fidel Murphy’s on Saturday 12 November. Tickets, priced $75 are now on sale at Fidel’s or from Neil Purton or pick up at BCQS Offices at 2nd Floor Whitehall House, opposite Lobster Pot. Robson will be speaking and have a question and answer session with the audience and signing autographs. There will be a raffle and auction of football memorabilia. A buffet is included in the price. The evening will be hosted by Sunset’s funny man Robert Woods and if previous years are to go by it will be another great night.
In addition, a golf day is arranged for the next day which is a two-man scramble. Robson will be playing and available before and after the event. Cost is $100 for golf club members or $150 for non-members. There are lots of prizes and CayBrew will be providing the beer.
This is Sunset’s main fundraising event for the year and they are urging anyone interested to show their support. Gary McLean is organising the golf.
