Man stabbed in fight at Marquee

Police are investigating a fight late Friday that ended in a stabbing at the Marquee Plaza on Lawrence Boulevard in George Town.

Officers said the victim was stabbed twice during the fight, which broke out around 10.30pm on Friday.

The victim ran toward West Bay Road after being stabbed.

Police arrived on the scene, but the suspect had already left, officers said.

The stabbing victim, a 24-year-old man, was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service.

A knife was recovered at the scene of the fight, but no arrests were immediately reported.
