Budget Rent A Car has donated two wheelchairs to help transport passengers who have difficulty walking to and from aircraft at Cayman’s airport.
President of the car hire company, Brian Krug, presented the wheelchairs to the Cayman Islands Airports Authority’s senior manager of airport operations, Kerith McCoy.
The wheelchairs will be used at the passenger terminal.
“Budget is a dedicated airport partner and we will continue to seek out ways in which we can assist the CIAA with its vision to deliver a high level of service to its customers,” Mr. Krug said.
Facilities for passengers with reduced mobility have been improving at the airport.
In September, the airport added two Ambistair units – electronic chair lifts that can carry passengers up and down plane stairways.
