Jamaica to train with Bolt

The Mustang Track Club is off to Jamaica on Saturday for one week’s training camp at the world renowned Racers Track club, home of triple world record holder Usain Bolt and current 100m world champion Yohan Blake.

The club is at the Utech track in the Papine district of Kingston. Head coach Tyrone Yen has organised it all and the athletes are Shayla Torres, Chantelle Morrison, Kristen Dixon, Troy Long, Lloyd barker and Kirk Williamson.

Coach Yen said: “It will be a great opportunity for our local athletes as they prepare for next year’s CARIFTA Games in Bermuda and the junior world championships in Spain. Mustang track club thanks all our valued sponsors and parents who made this trip a reality as we continue to develop track and field in these islands.

“The athletes are pretty excited about meeting the likes of Bolt and Blake. It will be good preparation for when the track season starts here next month and for our trip to compete in Jamaica in early February.”
