More than 25 children participated in the Christmas Tree Decorating Competition at the Visual Arts Society’s arts and crafts sale Saturday, 3 December at Camana Bay.
The exhibition featured more than 15 artists, who displayed Christmas decorations, souvenirs, cards, wall art and jewellery. They also hosted a Christmas Tree Decorating contest for children in two separate categories – 6 and under and 7 and older.
Winners were chosen by the artists and volunteers. Winners will be given vouchers for the Nautilus Undersea Tours.
The winners of the 6 and under category are: third place: Dylan Lynee, 3; second place: Sophia Armstrong, 2; and first place Dylan, 2.
The winners of the 7 and older category are: third place, Halle, 8; second place Aaliyah; and first place, Ramy, 8.
The Visual Arts Society are a nonprofit organisation supporting local artists through the promotion and organisation of exhibitions.
The society offers various workshops and art related classes are available throughout the year and provide a studio for artists to use for their own personal use, which is on the grounds of Pedro’s St. James.
