Water Authority board donates to Lions Club

The Water Authority Board recently collected a barrel full of toys from its members to donate to the Lions Club of Grand Cayman Annual Toy Drive.

The Lions help to provide joy and merriment to those less fortunate at this sensitive time of year by hosting Christmas parties at the Sunrise Adult Training Centre, the Lighthouse School and the All-Island Kids Christmas party. Water Authority-Cayman applauds the dedication of the Lions Club of Grand Cayman, as they have been delivering gifts to children around the island during the Yuletide Season for years.

Water Authority board member Pearlina McGaw-Lumsden said, “On behalf of the Water Authority Board Members, we are extremely proud to present such great gifts to the Lions Club in their drive of ensuring that the young ones in our country have a great Christmas. We are honoured to be a part of such a giving community and we wish all God’s blessings, peace, love and happiness. Merry Christmas!”

Mitch Ebanks, president of the Lions Club of Grand Cayman, said, “On behalf of the Lions Club of Grand Cayman, I would like to thank the Water Authority and its Board of Directors for this generous donation of toys. At this time of the year the Club collects donation in order to help the many needy people of Grand Cayman, which includes children. It is because of the kindness and thoughtfulness of businesses such as the Water Authority, that our programme of helping the needy actual succeeds.”
