Robert Harris made some amends for a softball championship game defeat last season.
He recently pitched his Butterfield Legion of Boom side to a 22-11 victory over KM Ltd at the Field of Dreams facility in George Town. The contest was a rematch of the 2011 Fall Adult Co-ed Softball League A division championship, which KM won in extra innings.
Harris’ Legion of Boom were not the only sluggers in action. A number of games marked the start of the 2012 Winter league, put on by the Cayman Islands Little League. PWC B downed Dolphin Cove 21-13, KPMG A beat Starfish Sports 17-2, Maples Sluggers beat Clubhouse Crabbies 11-5, Deloitte Tigers ravaged 24-6, BritCay Premiums edged Clubhouse Master Batters 13-12, KPMG Bounty Hunters bested Security Centre Safes by way of forfeit, Home Gas downed A.L. Thompson’s Hammers 19-16, Walkers Warriors beat UBS Aces 19-4 and Island Taste Hot Stuff burned the Kirk Freeport Coconuts 20-15.
The last trio of matches this week are on Thursday, 2 February, at 8.15pm on fields two, three and four.
