Luis Suarez’s return to action, and even the first public outing of Fabio Capello following his row with the FA, were overshadowed (by a whisker) with an unlikely pitch invasion during the Liverpool – Tottenham match on Monday night.
Play was briefly held up when a lost looking cat, named Jack, bounded onto the turf in the first-half. S-purrs keeper Brad Friedel decided not to risk embarrassment by trying to catch it and Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish even had a chuckle before stewards removed the offending kitty.
