Chamber aims for the greens

A popular charity golf tournament is coming up.

The Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Re/Max Chamber Charity Golf Classic this Friday, 4 May at the North Sound Golf Club. Over the years, this tournament has raised a significant amount for local charities.

Prizes will be on offer and may range from gift certificates and bottles of wine to watches, spa treatments and golf-related items.

Last year a number of companies turned out and used the event to benefit local charities. Island Heritage, for example, sponsored the 16th hole and showcased a Sweet 16 theme that incorporated a game of ‘Spin the bottle’ for a small donation. Four-man teams took part with the winner earning a sweet shot of rum. Island Heritage would end up raising $605 for the Kiwanis Club of Grand Cayman.
