Updated: Both Cayman Brac and Grand Cayman public schools will be open
Thursday, according to an announcement from the government.
Schools in the Brac were closed Wednesday due to rough weather, while Grand
Cayman public schools were shuttered Tuesday.
At least five inches of rain fell in the Brac between Monday morning and
Tuesday morning and reports from the Island Wednesday morning indicated
conditions were deteriorating.
School staff members were asked to report to work unless flooding prevented
them from doing so.
