I visit Grand cayman at least once a year and I wrote to your newspaper several years ago to express my concern about drivers using their mobile phones whilst driving.
During my present visit this has been brought home to me more than once. My daughter, a resident of Grand Cayman, was nearly knocked down by a diver on visitor’s plates who was busy texting instead of paying attention to her driving and on another occasion a driver on the phone just changed lanes whilst busy in his conversation.
I believe the law has been passed but not yet activated. I nearly lost my daughter and my grandchildren their mother, so when are the authorities going to activity this law?
