Women of all ages who have succeeded in shedding some pounds and embarking on a healthier lifestyle through FAB Cayman will be celebrating this Saturday, 6 October, during an evening of special entertainment, Whatever It Takes.
FAB – standing for fitness and beauty – supports and encourages women of all ages to strive for life-long wellness in a weight-loss challenge called MS. FAB-U-LESS. The venture was founded by Glenda Dilbert-Davis winner of the 2010 War-On-Weight. Glenda dropped 35.5 pounds in the four-month competition sponsored by the Cayman Heart Fund and now seeks to support and encourage other women to pursue a fitter, healthier lifestyle.
The end of the third three-month session is being celebrated with this special event at the South Sound Community Centre, starting at 6.30pm, which is open to the public.
Highlights of the evening will be an opening act by the FAB Dancers, who are back by popular demand, a fashion show in which all of the models are FAB members, with guest appearances by singer Derri Dacres and youth dancer Lebron McLean. There will be music by DJ Genius and Partyrockers Entertainment will be taking the pictures.
The event is open to all, whether involved in the FAB challenge or not, and a donation of $5 for adults and $2 for children is requested. Proceeds will be donated to the Lions Club of Tropical Gardens during the October 2012 Breast Cancer Awareness Month Campaign.
The start of the next three-month programme is 13 October.
