The Security Centre Limited What’s New for Cayman’s Leading Security Team?

With the arrival of Fall, The Security Centre Limited (TSCL), Cayman Islands’ most trusted full-service security and life-safety company looks back on several exciting initiatives that launched in 2012, with anticipation of much more on the horizon. 

In the spring, TSCL joined forces with Apex Industries, renowned suppliers of quality architectural finishes, to develop a strategic partnership that combines their protective products under the brand Apex Perimeter Protection, operating as a division of The Security Centre Limited. 

The extended range of perimeter security solutions includes flood and hurricane protection, fencing and guardrails, Crimsafesecurity screens, ACEwindow laminates, gate barrier products and perimeter security lighting. The shared goal of the partnership: to provide more value to clients, with a wider range of solutions and a wealth of technical experience.

The comprehensive range of offerings available from TSCL was further expanded with the acquisition of Sat-Trak GPS tracking service which effectively monitors and reports on the status of any mobile resource, including cars, marine crafts, trailers, plant machinery, personnel and packages.

Vehicle Lokator and Personnel Lokator real time tracking and reporting systems feature customizable applications that provide unrivalled protection in terms of asset management, accountability and recovery. 

From just $399 installed, Sat-Trak devices have been a hit with individuals and commercial consumers. Virtually any online connection can provide secure access to traditional mapping and satellite views as well as historical reports, and email/text alerts notify users of selected events.  The technology is highly sophisticated, yet convenient and easy to use.

Most recently, TSCL signed on to provide administrative support and specially trained drivers for HomeSafe, Cayman’s Car Delivery Service.  The service is unique to Cayman but one that has already seen growth in the UK and US markets: simply put, at the end of a night out when you might be at risk of being too intoxicated to drive, a HomeSafe driver arrives on a collapsible scooter that tucks neatly into your trunk and brings you home safely in the comfort of your own vehicle. 

September’s soft launch saw the trademark orange scooters on the road, familiarizing Seven Mile Beach restaurant and bar patrons with the nightly service.  Membership packages are being rolled out in October at unbeatable introductory rates that aim to address the number one reason cited for driving under the influence – reluctance to leave the car behind.

Customer service, a top priority at TSCL, is most visibly apparent in the re-design of their Retail Division.  With a fresh paint job the famous yellow building located next to Butterfield Roundabout became “Security Centre blue”.

Weekday hours have been extended to 6 pm and the experience of shopping Cayman’s largest selection of security systems, locks, safes and hurricane and intruder protection products has been enhanced, with a keen attention to detail. 

Improvements include new signage both inside and outside, a re-organized store layout, and all new product displays that highlight selection and finishes.
