No value for money

Reckless, careless, foolish, wasting spending?

This seems to be the best statement the leader of the present government has to make to try and cover up his big blunder. Oh yes, I know that was not good for you as leader of this country to go and make deals with people without receiving the complete permission from the people of the Cayman Islands.

You were warned not to do so and you did not listen. Now and forever, all members of the government are the servants of the people and the people are the masters.

We all know from a very long time ago that we need very badly a cruise ship dock. But we must be very wise where we put it and who does the job and most of all, have a proper one built that does not cost us.

When I hear the leader of this present government say he does these wild goose flights to get the best value for money, maybe he really means on his plane ticket; not what he is doing with the people’s money.

As you notice as soon as they said that the budget was approved, the geese took flight; the leader of government and the deputy. They went off on these wild goose flights wasting the people’s money again.

As I wrote to you all before, when you see the leaders of this country running away on these types of flights, then they will know how bad they are doing to their people and when they push the people too hard, the people will get rid of the servants and we will replace you with wise and proper leadership for the betterment and upliftment of all our people.

We should all be living a lot better on Grand Cayman, but because our leadership at present does not know value for money, they waste many hundreds of millions and have no real good ideas that are proper and in line with what the people want.

Oh, and by the way, Mr. McKeeva Bush, I told you that Mother England did not like what you were doing. We will choose the companies here in the west to build our cruise ship dock and if we need labour help, we will get it from those that really help Cayman and its people when you go against the deal that King George of England made with the Caymanian people and disregard our wishes.

Well, I think it’s time for you to pack your books and go to China with your friends there, for we do not need your type of value for money any more and I know I can say I speak for the people that feel the same way.
