Create a gingerbread house that would impress even Hansel and Gretel.
Children and adults are invited to attend a seasonal Gingerbread House Workshop at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, led by their talented Executive Pastry Chef, Benjamin Kallenbach.
Groups of four will be provided with a basic gingerbread house and a whole host of gumdrops, candy, chocolate flakes and other edible decorations. The trick is not to eat the decorations, or at least not for the time being. Instead, use them to decorate the walls and roof of your gingerbread house, in patterns, swirls or totally at random – your decoration is limited only by your imagination [and the amount of candy you consume inadvertently].
It’s fun, festive and the kind of afternoon activity of which memories are made.
The cost is $45 per house, with a maximum of four decorators per house, and workshops are being held for the next two Saturdays, 15 and 22, December from 2 to 3pm.
